Split Toning

There's this little thing called "split toning" that I just found out about and experimented with a little bit. I knew about it before, but it was one of those things I just stored in memory and didn't really think about too much. Then I stumbled across this blog. He does such excellent split toning and the images just pop! So I decided to try that with some of my photos. Definitely not Australia, but it was a lot of fun to experiment with! I used the function in Bridge to get the split toning affect, then curves and layers and Photoshop.

Portrait Project part 3

Portrait Project part 2

Alyx

My pretty much gorgeous coworker Alyx agreed to be a guinea pig and let me photograph her, with Monica's help on make-up.

P.S. She has a missionary (sort of) who just got called to a Spain mission! :D

Marissa

She's cute.

Studio Time

I'm in a Photo Lighting class this semester - I'm already learning quite a bit and trying to digest all the information! These next photos are just pictures I've taken for or from the class - I've set up most of them and some of them John Rees set up, lighting wise. I think they're awesome.

I don't know all the models names (unfortunately) because John provided the girls near the bottom of the pictures (the platinum blond is his girlfriend.) But the dark-haired gamer is Laura Wilkinson and the only guy in this collection is Marty Lind.
